Full NHL Schedule for 2012-2013 Season

Hockey starting in January instead of October. Not quite my cup of tea - but at least it's starting

I have linked the full NHL schedule here so check it. In addition to my excitement for opening day, I will attempt to do my best to predict who wins opening day.

Predictions

- Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers
Malkin and Crosby team up to make Bryz look likes he an average human...the most average human goalie in the league universe.

- Ottawa Senators vs Winnipeg Jets
Craig Anderson out-duels his drunken counterpart and the Sens win.

- Chicago Blackhawks vs Los Angeles
LA finally gets to lift their first Stanely Cup Banner ever...and record their first win of the season.

- New York Rangers vs Boston Bruins
Tukka Rask and King Henrik give us the lowest scoring game of the day...until the third period where Captain Callahan and Rick Nash connect to give the Rangers the victory.

- Toronto Maple Leafs vs Montreal Canadians
Always an awesome way to start the season...too bad both teams don't have much going for them. Still, the Habs pull out the win in this ugly game.

- New Jersey Devils vs New York Islanders
At least the Leafs and Habs fill the arena...the Isles young guns prove that Marty is getting fat old. Isles win.

- Washington Capitals vs Tampa Bay Lightning
Probably the most exciting game of the season...high tempo and plenty of goals. Both teams score at least 3 a piece. Lightning in Overtime.

- Carolina Hurricanes vs Florida Panthers 
Panthers stun the Staals' and take the home opener in a shootout.

- Detroit Red Wings vs St. Louis
The Blues start their 2012-2013 Stanely Cup season with a win against the now Lidstrom-less Wings.

- Columbus Blue Jackets vs Nashville Predators
Despite Pekka Rinne's solid effort, the former NYR favorites (Dubinsky and Anisimov) help the Blue Jackets win their first game post-Rick-Nash-Era

- Phoenix Coyote vs Dallas Stars
Coyote's start where they left off last season...losing in overtime to a division rival.

- Colorado Avalanche vs Minnesota Wild
Wild's new aquistions help them shut out the O'reilly-less Avs.

- Anaheim Ducks vs Vancouver Canucks
The Sedin Twins witchcraft give the 'nucks their first W...helping them win the presidents trophy again at the end of the season only to see them fail again in the playoffs.
